Bacolod's Electric MassKara Comes to a Close

While the City of Smiles celebrates its 71st charter day on October 19, 20009, and the colorful 30th MassKara Festival will also have its highlights today, the three-day 3rd Electric MassKara comes to a close Sunday night, or in the wee hours of the morning.

Cruising the whole of Bacolod City on the lookout for party hotspots, Lacson Tourism Strip is definitely the place to be for Bacolod's beautiful people. But Bacolod is definitely alive in other parts as well, particularly at the Bacolod Public Plaza where another kind of party flavor throbs to the beat of gigantic sound systems installed in key areas in the heart of the city.

Goldenfields Commercial Complex is still very much the old night spot that it is, with M02 leading the crowd to a jampacked concert-cum-party celebration.

By around past 2 in the morning, the crowd finally thinned out at Lacson Street. I'm not sure if there was still partying at North at Ayala Northpoint, Talisay City, where Bacolod party people spill over. When we drove past on the way home, it was already dark and has long folded itself to sleep, unlike the other night when it was sparkling with lights and vibrating with dance music.

Well, there you are folks, peaceful and fun MassKara celebration at the right places and the right crowd. I'm sure those who weren't able to make it this year will have something to look forward to in 2010.

'Til then, Happy MassKara everyone!
